With Tumbler
Project Overview
-
This project aims to encourage the use of reusable tumblers by addressing common inconveniences like cleaning difficulties and hygiene concerns. By incorporating automatic cleaning and sterilization features, the product promotes sustainability while ensuring user convenience and safety.
-
1. Automatic Tumbler Cleaning
DC Motor: Drives a cleaning brush to rotate, efficiently removing stains and residue from the tumbler.
Servo Motor: Enables vertical movement of the cleaning brush along a rail system to reach all surfaces.
Motor Driver: Controls the speed and direction of the motors for optimized cleaning performance.
2. Tumbler Sterilization
UV-LED Technology:
Uses UV-A light (395–405 nm) for safe and effective sterilization of bacteria, mold, and germs.
Ensures hygiene without harmful effects on human health.
-
1. Convenience
The system automates the cleaning process, allowing users to maintain a spotless tumbler effortlessly.
2. Hygiene
UV-LED sterilization protects the tumbler from viruses and bacteria, reducing health risks.
3. Sustainability
Encourages prolonged use of tumblers by maintaining their cleanliness, reducing the need for disposable cups and minimizing environmental impact.
-
Hardware:
DC Motor: Rotates the cleaning brush for effective stain removal.
Servo Motor: Moves the cleaning brush vertically for thorough cleaning.
UV-LED: Sterilizes the tumbler interior.
Software:
Arduino Board: Controls the motors and UV-LED for coordinated operations.
Motor Driver: Adjusts speed and direction of motor rotations.
-
The automatic cleaning mechanism was successfully tested, ensuring thorough cleaning of tumblers.
UV-LED sterilization proved effective in eliminating bacteria and other pathogens.
Test users reported improved convenience and increased willingness to use tumblers regularly.
How It Works
1. Place the tumbler inside the device.
3. The brush rotates left and right in turns, starting the automatic cleaning process.
2. When the button is pressed, the cleaning brush automatically lowers.
4. After cleaning is finished, sterilization automatically begins.
